The Albany Benches

The Albany Bench was specifically designed for The City of Albany by sculptor Merlin Szosz, and is an ornate cast iron frame with wooden seats and back support.

The Conservancy commissioned the design of, purchased, and picked placement for many of the benches placed carefully around the lake and Knox Street Mall.

The manufacturer, Architectural Iron Company in Milford, Pennsylvania, is limited to making the benches in lots of ten and cost approximately $1000.00 each including installation, one can appreciate the amount of dedication needed to add benches.

The pictures here show the benches in use in the Park.
