11th Ward World War II Monument This handsome monument was erected in March 1945 by the Eleventh Ward Service League. Memory Studios prepared the stone from Imperial Danby Vermont, same as used in the Jefferson Memorial. 15 WWII war dead are
named on the stone. A scroll naming 1087 who served from the ward was
deposited in a vault at the monuments base.
